Resurva and Lightspeed (formerly Vend) make it easy for your clients to spread the love by offering gift cards to support your shop.
Set up a Lightspeed account
To sell or accept gift cards, you first need to connect a Lightspeed account and set up your register. Learn more about managing in-store payments in this article: Accept in-store payments with Lightspeed.
Enable gift cards on Lightspeed
To start selling gift cards, first enable it from the Lightspeed settings by navigating to Catalog > Gift Cards and toggling Enable Gift Cards to ON. If you want your gift cards to have an expiry date, enable Allow gift cards to expire and set time for expiry. You can also import existing gift card information by clicking Import CSV.
Sell a gift card at checkout
To add a gift card to a sale on Lightspeed, search for 'gift card' in the product search, and type in a gift card number. Add a value to the gift card and click Add to sale, and proceed to check out the customer as normal. Accept a gift card as payment
To accept a gift card as payment for a sale, select Gift Card in the bottom right when checking out a customer. Enter the gift card number to see the balance of the gift card. If the card has sufficient funds, click Pay with gift card to complete the transaction. Otherwise, select Make partial payment, and you'll see the remaining balance on the page.
