Get more insights into client behaviour by setting up your account to track conversions through Google Analytics.
What is Google Analytics?
When you add a Google Analytics key to your Resurva account, it'll start tracking the visitors who make bookings on your widget, so you'll be able to see information like what time of day your clients normally make bookings, how many clients visit your booking page each day, and other analytics information from your booking page. This can be helpful for tracking how well a marketing initiative is doing, for example - if you've just sent out an email newsletter to your clients, you can check if you've had an increase in users after sending the email out.
Set up your Google Analytics key
To start tracking conversions, you'll need to set up your Google Analytics account and find your key - you can follow the steps in this support article from Google: Google Analytics Help - Set up Analytics for a website and/or app. If you've already set up Google Analytics for your property, you can find the key by following the steps in this support article: Google Analytics Help - Find your Google tag ID. Once you know your tag ID, you can navigate to Settings > App Settings > Conversion Tracking from the Resurva dashboard and enter the key, then click Save.
Update your Google Analytics key
If your tag ID starts with the letters "UA", this means you're using the old version of Google Analytics - to track conversions, you can enter your key in the second box labelled Google Universal Analytics Propery ID and click Save. This version of Google Analytics will stop tracking data after July 1st, 2023, and you can update to the new version from the Analytics dashboard - here's a support article that explains the steps: Google Analytics Help - Make the switch to Google Analytics 4. After you update your key, you can enter it on this page under GA4 Google Tag ID, then click Save.
