If you're switching to Resurva from another booking service, there's a few things you can do to make the transition easier.
Step 1: Set a date to switch
First, you can take a look at your current bookings, and check how far in advance most of your bookings are. You'll probably notice that your schedule is a lot less full at a certain point, and this can help you choose a date to turn off bookings on your current widget.
Once you've chosen a date to switch, you can set it as the last day for your current booking widget, and you can set the following day as the first day for your Resurva bookings. While your current booking widget is still online, you can share both booking links with your clients: to book for a date before the switch, clients would click your current booking link, and to book a date for after the switch, they'd click your Resurva booking link.
This way you can take your Resurva widget online whenever you're ready, and you won't need to worry about clients booking the same time slot on both widgets.
Step 2: Transfer existing bookings to Resurva
After you set a last date for your current booking widget, you can export any bookings that are scheduled for after this date, from your current widget to Resurva. This will keep your availability the same on both widgets, so that you don't need to worry about double-bookings where two clients book the same time slot on different widgets.
You can import events from an external calendar (like Google, iCloud, or Outlook) to a provider's schedule in Resurva, so that any existing bookings from your old widget will show up in Resurva. Alternatively, you can also click the Tap On/Off button on your Resurva schedule, and then click on a time slot to set it to "unavailable" for any time slots that are already booked on your old booking system.
Step 3: Email your client list
Now that you've set a date to switch and transferred the rest of your bookings, you can let your clients know about the change and the new way to book by sending them a newsletter. You can import your client list from your current booking service into Mailchimp to send an email to your client list, and you can also allow new clients on Resurva to sign up, so they can receive emails from you in the future.
