After setting up your services, providers, and shop hours, you're ready to start taking bookings. To take your setup even further, check out these advanced guides on best practices:
Allow providers to view their bookings
To allow your providers to view and manage their own schedules, update their profiles, and customize their services, you'll need to create an admin account for every provider. Each admin can be set with specific access permissions, to make sure they can't see or change anything they shouldn't. You can learn more about setting admin permissions in this article: Manage admin account permissions.
Set how far in advance clients can book
You can set how far in advance clients can book on the widget by setting a first and last booking date from the settings page. If you're already taking bookings, you can set a booking availability window, so that clients can't book too far in advance, or with too little notice. If you're not taking bookings yet, you can set an opening date on your widget so that clients can't book before your first day.
Customize a provider's services and availability
Each provider can have their own custom service costs and durations, and you can also set a custom availability window and breaks schedule from the provider's individual settings page. You can learn more about customizing a provider's settings and availability in this support article: Set up a new provider.
Enable cancellation protection and online payments
With a connected Stripe or Square account, you can set up a cancellation policy to automatically charge clients a fee for any missed bookings or late cancellations. You could also set up booking deposits for all or some of your services, or require advanced payment from no show clients only.
Accept in-store payments with a POS
For streamlined in-store payments, you can connect a Lightspeed (formerly Vend) account to Resurva, so that bookings are automatically sent from the schedule to your POS device when a client arrives for their booking. Learn more about in-store payments in this article: Resurva x Lightspeed.
Set up a website and share your booking link
All Resurva packages include a free one-page website where you can tell your story and give your clients a place to find you. Learn more about Resurva Websites in this article: Set up your Resurva Website. If you already have a website, you can learn how to post or share your booking link in this article: Share a link to your booking widget.
Edit the notifications sent to clients
Customize the notifications that are sent to your clients when they book, to include a client waiver or any special policies you'd like the client to know about before their booking. You can also upgrade your subscription to include text message notifications for clients - you can learn more here: Upgrade to text message notifications.
Customize the widget and schedule
Make your booking widget stand out by adding a header image and tagline that fits your business. You can customize the widget even more by changing how the schedule looks to clients, to display a list of next openings or even show the full schedule to logged in clients. Learn more in this support article: Change how the schedule looks to clients.
Sync your calendar
When you connect a calendar to a provider's schedule, you'll be able to push bookings created in Resurva to an external calendar, and pull events from the calendar into Resurva. We support integrations with Google, iCloud, Outlook, Office 365, and Exchange. Learn more about syncing a calendar in this article: Connect an external calendar to a provider's schedule.
