Clients will receive booking notifications when their bookings have been confirmed, moved, or cancelled, and a reminder notification the day before a scheduled booking. You can customize your notifications to better suit your shop, and to include more information.
Customize booking notifications
You can edit the notifications that are sent to a client when a booking is confirmed, moved, or cancelled (and, if your bookings are set to approval only, when a booking is approved or denied) by navigating to Manage > Notifications from the Resurva dashboard on a browser. Select the notification you'd like to edit from the column in the left, edit the text in the field, and click Save to confirm. To reset the notification text to the default, click Reset.
Notification keywords
You can use certain keywords in curly brackets to customize your notifications for each client, for example, to include their name or the date and time of their booking.
The keyword in the curly brackets will be replaced with the client's information, so if you type "Hi {name}!", the email your client receives will say "Hi John!". Here's a list of available keywords you can use:
- {name} - the client's name
- {account} - your company name
- {service} - the name of the booked service
- {provider} - the name of the service provider
- {date} - the date of the booking
- {start_time} - the start time of the booking
- {end_time} - the end time of the booking
- {cancel-link} - a link the client can click to cancel their booking
- {waiver} - the full text of your waiver
Require booking notifications for all clients
To prevent your clients from opting out of booking notifications, you can enable forced email notifications by navigating to Settings > Bookings and enabling Force all email notifications for clients.
Upgrade notification emails to text messages
