You can maximize your available time slots and eliminate gaps by enabling adaptive schedule.
What causes gaps in the schedule?
By default, when a booking doesn't take up a full time slot, the next available start time that a client can select will be at the beginning of the next time slot, which can lead to gaps in your schedule. For example, if your time slots are set to 12:00, 12:30, 1:00, etc, and you have a booking that ends at 12:45pm, the next available time to book would be 1:00pm, when the next time slot starts, leaving you with a 15-minute gap.
How does adaptive schedule work?
When adaptive schedule is enabled, your booking start times would shift to eliminate those gaps caused by a partially unavailable time slot, so that the next available booking time would be right after the last booking without leaving a gap, such as in this screenshot:
Because the booking in the above screenshot doesn't take up the full time slot (10am to 10:45am), the following time slots are shifted up to eliminate the gap, so that a client can make a booking at 10:30am, immediately after the last booking ends. When adaptive schedule is disabled, the next bookable time slot would be 10:45am instead, leaving you with a 15 minute gap in your schedule:
Enable or disable adaptive schedule
You can turn on adaptive schedule by navigating to Settings > App Settings > Time Settings, and turning on the checkmark for Adaptive Schedule, then clicking Save. To disable adaptive schedule, turn off the checkmark and click Save.
